Dr. Davoody’s path to orthodontics began with his dental education and continued through specialty residency and a research-focused master’s degree.

After earning his dental degree at the University of Maryland, Dr. Davoody completed his orthodontic specialty training at the University of Connecticut, where he also earned a Master of Dental Science. His graduate research focused on temporary anchorage devices (TADs), small titanium anchors that give orthodontists precise control over tooth movement in complex cases. He has stayed close to academic orthodontics ever since, serving as a part-time faculty member in the University of Connecticut’s Department of Craniofacial Sciences and attending clinical meetings nationally and internationally to keep his techniques current. We have kept the joint name out of respect for that history and the trust it represents in the community.
